About the Project

KAR Global had rebranded to OPENLANE less than a month before my hiring and needed all KAR Global marketing rebranded to their new OPENLANE branding. I worked on designing internal social material for their employee website as well as printable one pagers to give to OPENLANE’s clients, rebranding their Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, creating social media posts to continue their brand identity, and other marketing related material. For this role I utilized Figma, Canva, Google and Microsoft applications, as well as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Design Strategy

The newness of OPENLANE’s brand meant that I had to delve into my creative side and use their brand guide to direct my design decisions while pushing the boundaries of what was possible. My creative director emphasized the importance of simple, clean, and intriguing design and using moodboards as inspiration to meet those goals. The end result were designs that were all different but followed a consistency that kept the them tied back to the brand.
