About the Project
The Geology Department at my university wanted a poster for the front entrance of the building that would entice students to learn more about their geosciences curriculum. It was an open-ended project with the only instructions to include the incorporated text, leaving the rest up to me.
Design Strategy
Given this information, I wanted to create a striking poster that would make students stop and stare. I did this by using bold geometric shapes and colors through an abstract design. The variation of the shapes and abstraction of the poster creates a looser visual of “geology”, but resulted in a more compelling visual.
